PURPOSE: Provided is fuel oil composition capable of greatly reducing smoke from diesel engine, wherein the fuel oil containing polyoxymethylene glycol dialkyl ether compounds. CONSTITUTION: The fuel oil contains polyoxymethylene glycol dialkyl ether compounds represented by formula of R1-O-£-CH2O-|n-R2 in an amount of 0.01 to 30 wt.%, wherein R1 and R2 may be identical or different each other and selected from an alkyl group with a carbon number of 3 to 20, and wherein n is an integer of 1 to 20.
