PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing plate capable of being directly laser-written and having excellent plate wear and ink repellency. SOLUTION: A support for the lithographic printing plate comprises an anodized film provided on an aluminum base plate and having small micropores and large micropores each having a diameter of 1.3 times or more as large as that of the small micropores thereon in such a manner that a number of the latter is 0.1 to 20% of that of total micropores thereon. The lithographic printing plate has a photosensitive layer formed on the anodized film of the support for the lithographic printing plate. A method for manufacturing the support for the lithographic printing plate comprises the steps of treating the anodized aluminum base plate with a silicate aqueous solution, and then etching the base plate with an acid or an alkali aqueous solution. |
