<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercritical water reaction apparatus for subjecting an objective liquid, especially one containing an organic chlorine compound, to a supercritical water treatment. SOLUTION: This apparatus 10 is equipped with a reactor 12 for containing supercritical water. A liquid to be treated containing an organic chlorine compound is introduced into supercritical water in the reactor and is oxidatively decomposed by air. The apparatus is equipped with a temperature control device 32 for adjusting the flow rate of the liquid sent in, or the like, to control the temperature in the reactor to 550 deg.C or higher but 650 deg.C or lower. The wall surface of the reactor is covered with a quartz glass layer. The apparatus is equipped with a treating liquid channel through which a treating liquid flows, an aqueous alkali solution channel which joins the treating liquid channel to pour an aqueous alkali solution into the treating liquid, and a neutralization and quenching section 30 for neutralizing and quenching the treating liquid to 450 deg.C or lower with the aqueous alkali solution. In the neutralization and quenching section, the inner wall in contact with the treating liquid is covered with a quartz glass layer.</p> |
