PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eraser push-out type mechanical pencil in which the breakage of a colored lead is prevented when it is replaced, a sure erasing property by an eraser is provided, leads can be replaced easily by a refill case, and the discrimination of the kind and color of the lead and the indication of a name, etc., are easy. SOLUTION: In the retractable mechanical pencil in which an eraser push-out body is fitted attachably/detachably in the rear of a front shaft 2, a chuck 11 is fitted to the tip of the front shaft to be retracted backward by a spring 15, a shaft joint 12 is fitted to the rear end of the chuck, the front cylinder part of the eraser push-out body is bonded attachably/detachably to the shaft joint, the refill case 31 having the colored lead in which a porous burned core body is impregnated with dye or pigment ink to make a depicted line erasable easily by an eraser is set in the front cylinder part, the colored lead can be supplied to the chuck side, and the whole or part of the refill case is made visible from the outside of the mechanical pencil.
