PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase high-speed durability. SOLUTION: The ply turnup part 6b of a carcass 6 is terminated between a ply body part 6a and a belt layer 7 to form an overlapping part 9 having a width W1 of 5-40 mm between the turnup part 6b and the belt layer 7. The cord angleβof a carcass cord 21 is taken as 70-86 degrees to cross the carcass cords 21 between the ply body 6a and the turnup part 6b. The ratio Ts/Tc between the rubber-gauge thickness Tc on the tire equator of tread rubber 2G and the rubber-gauge thickness Ts at a shoulder point S is set at the range from 0.75 to 0.95.
