<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently suppress a total current, improve a recording speed, reduce a burden to a power source by sufficiently averaging the total current and avoid unnecessary noises. SOLUTION: In the line head having 2048 heating elements arranged in a line direction, the heating elements are divided to 16 blocks A-P each comprising 128 heating elements. The heating elements in each block are energized by the same timing. A predetermined time difference a within one block energization time is provided between adjacent blocks, and moreover the blocks are repeatedly energized by a common line cycle T. In this case, in a period while the blocks A-P are sequentially energized with the predetermined time difference, driving is controlled to repeat the energization three times after the block A which is first finished to be energized is finished to be energized.</p> |
