PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving paper roll suited to a thermal printer, particularly a thermal dye transfer printer, and producing few print curls. SOLUTION: In regard to a thermal transfer receiving sheet wound in the shape of a roll, the receiving sheet has a thermal transfer receiving layer on a surface-side oriented film of a substrate prepared by laminating the surface- side oriented film, a core material and a rear-side oriented film. Intralayer forces in the thermal transfer receiving layer, the surface-side oriented film and the rear-side oriented film determined by an expression of thermal linear expansion coefficient (/ deg.C) ×50 ( deg.C) ×thickness (μm) × elasticity modulus (Gpa) satisfy the relations wherein the difference between the sum of the value of the intralayer force of the receiving layer and that of the intralayer force in the direction MD of the surface-side oriented film and the intralayer force in the direction MD of the rear-side oriented film is 0 to -80 N/m, and the receiving sheet is wound so that the side of the thermal transfer receiving layer is inside the roll. |
