PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by bettering the structure of an accelerator lever attached to an operation part of a walking type mower for carrying out a mowing operation on a ridge, a farm road, etc. SOLUTION: In this mower 1 in which a handlebar base part 32 a main body of a machine body consisting of an engine 11, a reaping part 2 and traveling wheels 17R/17L is equipped with a handlebar lever 31 rotatably in the right and left and vertical directions, a handlebar 30 is laterally installed at the rear of the handlebar lever 31 and the main body of the machine body itself is rotated around the handlebar 30 by the drive of the traveling wheels 17R/17L, the accelerator lever 7 is extended right and left and arranged along the handlebar 30. For example, the accelerator lever 7 is formed approximately in the same form as that of the handlebar 30 and both the accelerator lever 7 and the handlebar 30 can be simultaneously grasped by the hands.
