PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing plate having a printing surface substantially formed by applying an image-like exposure to an original plate without necessity of developing, good coating properties and small scumming at a printing time, excellent plate wear resistance and capable of repeatedly using the printing original plate and a method for manufacturing the plate and to provide an apparatus for printing capable of manufacturing the plate in a printing machine. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a lithographic printing plate comprises the steps of providing a layer of a hydrophobic substance on the printing original plate having a layer containing a hydrophilic and lipophilic material on a surface, then forming an image-like hydrophilic area by an action of a heat or a light, and then treating the hydrophilic area with a hydrophilicity- enhancing agent. As the hydrophilic and lipophilic material, a photocatalytic metal compound, a photothermal conversion substance or a high temperature hydrophilicity developing substance is used. |
