PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress or improve a deterioration caused by weight saving in various performance characteristics of a tire by eliminating a defect such as breaking or separation of a metal wire within a belt layer while using a no-twist metal wire as a reinforcing belt. SOLUTION: Rubber-covered belt plies 3 and 4 are taken as the bunches of the metal wires, wherein at least the bulk of the metal wires within the ply are put together in parallel without intertwisting the plural metal wires having approximately circular cross sections and approximately the same diameters, and the bunches of the metal wires are two-dimensionally disposed in parallel at an interval between the bunches in a width direction to constitute the belt layer. Rubber or a reinforcing layer 5 composed predominantly of the rubber is arranged between the belt layer and a tread.
