PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel tone improving agent to be used in a substantially non-photosensitive thermographic recording material and a means to obtain an image tone permissible clinically in the substantially non-photosensitive thermographic recording material of a high throughput for a printer which has a thermal head line time of 20 millisecond, 4.5 milliseconds or less in a resolution of 118 dots per cm (= 300 dots per inch) at least. SOLUTION: The substantially non-photosensitive thermographic recording material contains a phase II behenic acid silver and/or a phase III behenic acid silver having a specific X-ray diffraction spectrum, by 1% to a phase I behenic acid silver having a specific X-ray diffraction spectrum, in a thermosensitive element constituted of a substrate, the phase I behenic acid silver, a reducer and a binder. |
