摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air current-type classifying device which classifies a powder raw material such as a toner for the development of a static charge image as an example into a plurality of particles with a varying particle diameter and ensures a high-precision and efficient classifying operation with the capability of always adjusting a classification point within the tolerance range even during the operation. SOLUTION: The powder raw material is introduced from a raw material supply pipe 3, then is mixed with an air current to be introduced from an air intake path 32 at a classification chamber 30 and the mixture is classified by edge parts 5a and 6a at the tip of classifying edges 5 and 6 with an arc-like part 4a at the tip of an coanda block 4 and further, the classified particles are sent into classification passages 11, 12 and 13. The edge parts 5a and 6a of the classifying edges 5 and 6 are always held within the specified tolerance range, so that potentiometers 43a and 43b and stepping motors 31a and 31b are engaged with the rotating shafts 36a and 36b of the classifying edges 5 and 6.
