PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the property of basidiomycetes to decompose various compounds efficient, by effectively applying a hydrophilic enzyme to fat-soluble environmental pollutants. SOLUTION: An organic solvent extract which is obtained by treating a contaminated soil and contaminated water with an organic solvent to obtain is treated with an organic solvent-soluble artificial enzyme to decompose the environmental pollutants. An aqueous extract which is extracted from the contaminated soil with water is treated with the organic solvent-soluble artificial enzyme, and then the resultant treated liquid is treated with the organic solvent to decompose the environmental pollutants.
