PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a paste applied part having a uniform layer thickness by preventing the paste applied part applied on a paper from making ball due to the fluttering of the paper tip part on a paper guide plate at the time of coating the paper held between transporting rollers and transported on the paper guide plate with a paste by a paste discharge means. SOLUTION: The paste applying device is provided with the transporting roller 34 arranged at the upstream side of the mounted position of the paste discharge means 41 in the paper transporting direction, a pair of upper and lower paper guide plates 401 and 402, fixed in-between a transporting roller 43 in the downstream side and arranged with a prescribed interval and de members 403 and 404 provided projectingly on the upstream side and the downstream side in the vicinity of the arranged position of a nozzle opening part 413a of the paste discharge means 41 on the upper surface side of the lower side paper guide plate 401 and having a projecting surface nearly coincided with common tangent T between the transporting roller 34 and 43.
