PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hanging shelf which can be installed safely and easily because of its simple structure, enables us to easily take in and out goods kept in the shelf as it prevents the main body of the hanging shelf from lifting, and can be moved up and down smoothly. SOLUTION: A hanging shelf is provided with a frame 2 for installation which is attached to a vertical side 1 for installing, and a main body 4 of the hanging shelf, which is fixed on the frame 2 for installation with a parallel four-point linkages 3 as the main body 4 can sway downward to the front and upward to the back. A middle part of a torsion bar 7, which is placed horizontally, is fixed to one of the bars of the parallel four-point linkages 3 located on the side of the frame 2 for installation. A restraining means 20 which restrains specific movements made by the end of the torsion bar 7 following downward movements to the front of the main body 4 of the hanging shelf and swaying around the bar and gives the torsion bar 7 spring power to move the main body 4 upward to the back, is provided.
