1276604 Preparation of tryptophan AJINOMOTO CO Inc 24 Aug 1970 [28 Aug 1969] 40718/70 Heading C2C L-Tryptophan is produced by fermenting in a nutrient medium under aerobic conditions a microorganism belonging to the genus Corynebacterium, Brevibacterium, Microbacterium or Micrococcus which is resistant to 5-methyl-DL- tryptophan and is capable of producing tryptophan or a nutrient medium under aerobic conditions, said medium containing at least one assimilable nitrogen source, and inorganic and organic minor nutrients; and recovering the L-tryptophan. The preferred microorganisms are Brevibacterium flavum ATCC 21427 or FERM-P652; Corynebacterium acetoglutamicum FERM-P648 or FERM-P-649; Microbacterium ammoniaphilum FERM-P-650 or Micrococcus glutamicus FERM-P-651. |
