REFINING METHOD FOR SI-RICH HOT METAL WITHOUT SLOPING

PURPOSE: Provided is a refining method for Si-rich hot metal without slopping. CONSTITUTION: The refining method for Si-rich hot metal comprises the steps of (i) analysis of Si concentration of hot metal of which silicon content is 0.65-3.0%, and then determination of air-blowing amount according to the silicon content; (ii) performing desiliconization as injecting CaO into slag until slag basicity is adjusted to be 1.0-1.5; (iii) discharging desiliconized slag; and then (iv) decarburization of the desiliconized slag by increasing an amount of air-blowing. In the method, an amount of air-blowing (y) is determined by the equation: y(Nm¬3)=2543.6(%Si).
