EXPANSION VALVE FOR VEHICLE AIR CONDITIONER SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An expansion valve for vehicle air conditioner system is provided to achieve an improved performance of air conditioner system by reducing the noise caused due to the refrigerant injected from the expansion valve. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerant pipe(20) interconnects an evaporator(17) and an expansion valve(15) which makes the refrigerant into a low temperature low pressure frost for ease of heat exchange operation. The refrigerant pipe includes an inlet pipe(21) for feeding refrigerant to the evaporator, and an outlet pipe(30). A noise reduction member(25) is inserted into the inlet pipe of the refrigerant pipe, so as to reduce the noise caused when the refrigerant is injected at a high pressure. The noise reduction member is a mesh or a screen member tightly contacting the inner circumference of the inlet pipe. The noise reduction member has a front end which gets caught at the front end of the inlet pipe extended to the inside of the expansion valve.
