DEVICE FOR MEASURING GRADIENT OF NARROW FACE OF MOLD IN CONTINUOUS CASTING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A device for measuring gradient of narrow face of mold in continuous casting machine is provided which solves problems such as operation accidents and unstable quality of steel billets and performs stable continuous casting operation by simply and accurately measuring gradient of the narrow face of mold in the continuous casting machine. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for measuring gradient of narrow face of mold in continuous casting machine comprises a measuring instrument base(314) which is formed lengthwise so that it has the flat upper surface; a vertical plate(317) which is vertically fixed to one end part of the measuring instrument base(314), has a longer length than a length of the short side of the cast, and installed so that it has a contact surface(317a) of the same surface as the surface of one end part of the measuring instrument base(314); wheels(304) which are idly mounted on both sides of the measuring instrument base(314) so that the wheels(304) are rolled on the surface of the upper part of the long side of the mold; and a water bubble level(315) which is installed on the upper surface of the measuring instrument base(314) so as to measure level conditions, wherein the lower part of the vertical plate(317) has the same width as that of the narrow face of the mold by centering plates(310a,310b) of a plastic material which are fixed to both sides of the vertical plate(317).
