Glider, esp for furniture, has base with recesses for reduced friction and less risk of scratching floor

The glider, comprising a base (5) with a fixing on one side to engage with the end of a furniture leg and a thin layer (1) of a low friction material on the other, has one or more surface recesses (2) with rounded edges (3). The recesses are spaced at equal angles round the glider's axis, e.g. in the shape of a decorative motif; they are a few tens of a millimeter deep and cover 10 - 30 per cent of the glider's surface.
