A monitor camera transporting apparatus comprises rails laid along a transportation path of a monitor camera, a carriage having the monitor camer a mounted thereon and movable along the rails, and transporting means for movi ng the carriage by means of compressed air. The transporting means includes a p ipe provided parallel to the rails and having a slit formed in its lower part al ong a full length of the pipe, an internal moving body movable within the pipe by means of compressed air introduced into the pipe, a connecting plate connected at its one end to the internal moving body and externally projected at the other end throug h the slit to be connected with the carriage, a sealing wire disposed within the pipe a long the full length of the pipe to close the slit, and a wire-retracting part formed in the internal moving body or connecting plate for retracting inwardly of the pipe thesealing wire located at the connecting plate. Thereb y, even in dangerous places where no persons are allowed to enter and no electric motors can be used, th e monitor camera can be transported efficiently, safely and reliably even to o bserve the inside of the places where high-speed objects are to be photographed.</S DOAB>
