The cabinet includes an electrical pre-wiring system which provides a connection to each display level (5) via conductor wires (7). The cabinet for displaying articles for sale includes a base frame (2) with display units arranged on the frame at several levels. The frames provide support for a number of panels (6), each of which is intended to carry an item of merchandise. The frame and the panels are provided with fittings enabling a range of panels to be attached at convenient positions.
