The wires (14) positioned alongside the rows (10) of grapevines and used as supports for the training of the plants, are connected to a generator (26), creating electro-magnetic fields around them. The tool (16) operated by the special vineyard tractor is moved according to the information about the height and horizontal extension of the plants received by two sensors (34, 36) while the tractor is driven along the rows (10). Either the motion of the tool (16) or the direction of the tractor is adjusted automatically and can be observed on a display at the dashboard.
