The invention relates to a movable or stationary electrically or Diesel-operated workover and repair rig for oil and gas wells. According to the invention, the well workover and repair rig comprises devices for drilling works, for making up and breaking out, as well as for tightening and unsticking tubular members (A and B), respectively, a hydraulic driving system (C) and another device (D) for making up and breaking out tubular members. The device (A) for the drilling works and for making up/breaking out tubular members comprises a housing (11) which accomodates a toothed gear (12) transmitting the motion from the motor (12) to a rotor (14) which drives a square (16) or a lever (18) which sets the pliers (20) in rotary motion. The pliers (20) and the square (16) are handled by a linkage (22). The device (B) for tightening and unsticking tubular members comprises a hydraulic cylinder (23) whose rod is secured to a cable (24) acting upon the pliers (20). The hydraulic system (C) comprises a hydraulic pump (26) driven by the mechanical transmission (6), and the device for tightening/unsticking tubular members (D) comprises a hydraulic cylinder (31) whose rod is secured to a movable roller block (32) and a stationary roller block (33) which make up a pulley tackle wherethrough the rope (34) to be wound onto the tubular members passes.
