The invention relates to an installation for checking the pressure of the cylinders, particularly the liquefied gas cylinders undergoing deformations, repairs, as well as for performing compulsory regular checking meant to lengthen their lifetime, or for establishing the necessity of discarding them, as the case may be. The installation comprises a buffer tank (1) filled with petroleum and connected both with a collector (11) and with a manually or electrically operated pump (14). The collector (11) supplies test liquid to more cylinders (17) to be checked, said cylinders being connected through a nipple (21) to a vertical pipe section (28) which is continued with a nipple (29), a cock (24) and a funnel (25). The pipe sections (28) related to all cylinders (17) communicate with one another via a connecting pipe (30). A T-shaped nipple (23) is mounted on one of the pipe sections (28), said nipple connecting the installation to a nitrogen cylinder (27) by means of a reducer (26) provided with two pressure gauges (31 and 32), the supplied nitrogen playing the role of discharging the whole amount of test liquid from the installation after the checking has been completed.
