The invention relates to a closing device with flexible curtain employed for closing or partitioning some spaces, closing a recess, covering a swimming pool, etc. According to the invention, the closing device with flexible curtain whose side edges (2) glide upwards and downwards inside two vertical tracks (3), between a closed position and an open position, is characterized in that the side edges (2) of the curtain (1) are substantially incompressible or made incompressible along the moving direction thereof towards the curtain closing position, particularly lengthwise, the device being provided with means (4) for driving the curtain (1) inside the vertical tracks (3) to move the curtain (1) towards its closing position, by applying a thrust force onto the side edges (2) of the curtain, along their longitudinal direction.
