The plant has filling and packing posts (20, 22, 24, 26), input (18) and output (19) posts and a transfer unit in the form of an endless conveyor (16) which has its return side (34) located above its forward side (32) and pairs of rollers (30) at each end. The input post is situated above the return side of the conveyor and is designed to deliver the containers, especially bottles (12), neck side down to clamps on the conveyor so that they are right way up on the forward side.
