The standby supply system includes a non volatile memory (5) in which a supply interruption management unit (4) writes, after receipt of a supply interruption signal, parameters relative to computer processing operations being carried out. These parameters permit the restarting of the computer operations. The parameter are recorded in memory after a date (TT). The standby supply includes a normal electrical supply (1) interruption sensor (3). It uses capacitors (2), to store electrical energy taken from the normal supply. A supply interruption management unit (4) fed from the capacitors comes into operation after it receives a signal from the sensor. The management unit permits restarting of the computer processing system and its operations following supply interruption after the capacitor energy has been used up when the normal supply is reconnected. The management unit starts the computer system operations after a data (TT) occurring later than the date at which the normal supply voltage (1) reaches a VOFF reference value
