<p>Natural organic fibrous material can be treated to produce a construction material with improved fire and water resistance and improved resistance to fungal attack and which can be used as a reinforcing material for concrete by immersion in a sodium silicate solution, followed by treatment with a sulphuric acid/salt solution and then contacted with an aluminium solution or paste.</p> |
