MAINTENANCE SYSTEM FOR A TELECOMMUNICATION INSTALLATION

The invention concerns a portable and self-contained aid device (DAS) designed to compile data concerning failures in a private telecommunication installation (ITC) comprising in particular terminals (TE) to assist the client owning the installation in maintaining the latter. A maintenance session is selected in a maintenance server (SM) of the managing installation provider on the basis of data transmitted by the aid device so as to provide instructions in the device. The server address and an identifier of the equipment are rapidly scanned with a bar code reader which can also scan bar codes in a user guide. The aid device also serves to configure a terminal (TE) by means of a configuration session opened in a server (SFT) of the terminal manufacturer.
