The safety device comprises a room (1) between the structures of the paper machine and fitting at least one person, the room consisting of one or several walls (3, 4, 5, 6, 7). At least one wall contains one or several openings (8, 9, 10) for performing the maintenance steps to the paper machine. The service is safe performed from the room.
