<p>A recording/reproducing device, wherein, as shown in Fig. 1, a host control unit (9) transmits to a disk device (13) a combination instruction consisting of a real processing instruction and a virtual instruction, and the disk device (13), while selecting an optimal seek speed or disk rotation speed, operates in advance, on the virtual instruction, processing permitted up to a point of time when an operation can no longer be continued unless the virtual instruction is changed to a real processing instruction after the real processing instruction is completed. The recording/reproducing device having the above configuration can provide an optimal operation in realizing expected performances while ensuring continuity of continuous data and minutely switching a seek or disk rotation speed.</p> |
