An anonymous trading system comprises a computer trading platform which can trade a number of different fungibles. The platform is comprised of a plurality of subsystems each of which inferfaces to a fungible specific plug - in. The subsystems include an order management subsystem which performs quot e distribution and matching, a deal execution subsystem which confirms and records deals, a market view subsystem which provides market views to trader s, and a credit subsystem which manages credit utilisation. Each subsystem can communicate with an appropriate plug-in which defines rules for a given fungible.
