<p>A printed board assembly for biometric applications, comprising a sensor (12) and a printed circuit board (11), which has two parallel flat sides, of which one constitutes a carrying surface (14) which is adapted to carry electronic components (16). The printed board assembly is characterised in that the sensor (12) is arranged on an edge surface (13) of the printed circuit board (11) between the two parallel flat sides, the extent of the sensor (12) at right angles to the carrying surface (14) being comparable as to size with the thickness of the printed circuit board (11).</p> |
