This invention provides a method for the prevention or reduction of cardiovascular events associated with coronary intervention in a mammal, particularly a human, which comprises administering to the subject N-(3',4'-dimethoxycinnamoyl)anthranilic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as a coating on or incorporated n a non-biodegradable or biodegradable stent in association with coronary intervention. Also included in this invention is the co-administration of compounds active in the reduction of cardiovascular events associated with coronary intervention and stents with medicaments thereon or therein, or radioactive stents.
