Responses and/or actions to be taken by a remote computer system response to requests transmitted from a man-machine interface unit, such as an Internet appliance or the like, are programmed through the use of a graphical user interface (GUI) rendered according to instructions provided by a server remote from a user to which the GUI is presented. In this way, the computer system is configured to associate a particular response/action with an input received from a remote man-machine interface unit. The GUI may resemble at least a portion of the man-machine interface unit itself. For example, the GUI may include a rendition of a keypad found on the man-machine interface unit. |
