<p>Classified information such as authenticating information is divided into a plurality of elements, which are then randomly rearranged after many decoys are added, and recorded in a recording medium after addresses are appended, the recording medium then being distributed to users. Sequence instructing information as to which addresses out of addresses including many decoys are to be read in what sequence in order to restore correct classified information such as authenticating information is notified to a user only. When reproducing classified information in a recording medium, a legal user inputs an instruction of reading correct addresses in a correct sequence to thereby reproduce classified information such as identity authenticating information (self-authenticating) by inputting an instruction matching sequence instructing information. A classified information recording method characterized by including the above arrangements. A classified information recording method comprising the steps of dividing authenticating information into a plurality of elements, randomly rearranging them after many decoys are added, and recording them after addresses including symbols are appended; and a recording medium for recording an encryption key for authenticating an identity.
