PURPOSE: Provided are a substituted (hetero)aryl compound which is suitable as safener for protecting crop plants against the phytotoxic side-effects of herbicides, a method for preparing the same, an agent comprising the same, and an its use as safener. CONSTITUTION: The safener for protecting crop plants comprises a compound of the formula I or salts thereof, in an amount effective as safener, and a usual excipient in crop protection field.
