PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact IC card reader-writer which can attain its stable operation even when the non-contact IC card is used alone or in a state where the card is stored in a card case, etc., and also can prevent a dead zone from occurring at a place near the surface of an R/W part even if the output of the R/W part is increased. SOLUTION: This card reader-writer 10 includes an R/W part 11 which performs radio communication with a built-in antenna 101 of the non-contact IC card 100 and then performs any of power supply, data transmission or data reception. A step part 13 is prepared on the surface of the part 11 to set the communication position with the antenna 101 at a level not more than its prescribed value, i.e., to set the magnetic field intensity the antenna 101 receives at a level not more than its prescribed value. |
