PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To settle a problem where the characters must be handwritten one by one into every character frame and thereby the natural input of characters is hindered although high accuracy character recognition can be expected about a handwritten character recognizer that has the input frames for each character while the natural input of characters is possible because no restraining character frame exist although it is hard to decide the separation of each character, which lowers the accuracy of character recognition about a handwritten character recognizer that has to input frames for each character. SOLUTION: On the basis of a fact that the character recognition rate is improved as long as the sizes of characters to be inputted are previously known even with a handwritten character recognizer that has no input frames of each character, the frames showing the sizes of handwritten characters to be inputted are dynamically displayed at each prescribed position on an input screen and then handwritten characters are inputted. This, it is possible to reduce the difference of sizes of characters to be inputted and thereby the character recognition rate is improved without preventing the natural input of handwritten characters. |
