PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an opening and closing door from being opened by a child or an infant and also to prevent an operating button from being pressurized even when the child or the infant erroneously touches the operating button of an ejecting switch. SOLUTION: The opening and closing door locking device is provided with a cassette port 5 on a front panel 1 in order to take a video cassette in and out. A cassette door 18 is attached to the front panel 1 in order to open and close the cassette port 5. The ejecting switch ejects the video cassette from the cassette port 5 by outputting a control signal operating a recording medium conveying mechanism which takes the video cassette in and out of a device main body via the cassette port 5 and which enables the cassette door 18 to be locked in the state that the cassette port 5 is closed. A locking mechanism locks both cassette door 18 and the ejecting switch.
