PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binary image encoder that can simplify or omit the processing after coding output in the case of adopting the JBIG (Joint Bi-level Image experts Group) coding system in a stripe mode. SOLUTION: By inserting a required number of '00h' 1-byte data between final code data and a termination marker code of stripe data so as to match a termination position of the stripe data with a break of an output unit, code data can be properly outputted in compliance with the JBIG coding system in the stripe mode as a result without the need for any processing at a host system side.
