PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-uniformity detecting method, by which the sensitivity of a density non-uniformity detection processing is improved when the method is applied to the inspection of a color filter, etc., and, especially, the sensitivity of a detection processing concerning misty non-uniformity is improved. SOLUTION: Two thresholds S1 and S2 (S1<S2) are fixed concerning a monochrome two-dimensional gradation image which is obtained by photographing an object to be inspected. Three kinds of codes T1, T2 and T3 are assigned by whether D(x, y)<S1, S1<=D(x, y)<S2 or S2<D(x, y) with respect to the dot D(x, y) of the coordinate (x, y) of an obtained two-dimensional image, the result is preserved as intermediate data. Then diagonally continuous numbers A1(x, y) of the dots, which satisfy a fixed condition with the thresholds, are obtained, a ratio with the continuous numbers A2(x, y) in a direction crossing with them is obtained and compared with an independently fixed threshold Asr and, then, density non-uniformity is detected. |
