<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camcorder with a monitor by which a user easily generates an optional character by an entry pen and displays the character on a monitor screen or records it on a recording medium. SOLUTION: The camcorder with a monitor provided with a camera section 1 having an imaging means to image an object, a monitor section 2 having a monitor screen 17 on which a video image photographed by the camera section 1 is displayed, and a recording section 3 that records a video signal captured from the camera section 1 onto a recording medium 24, is provided with an entry pen 25 that designates an optional coordinate position on the monitor screen 17 of the monitor section 2 and with character signal generating means 45-49 that store the coordinate position designated by the entry pen 25 and generate the stored coordinate position as a character signal. The camcorder displays the character signal on the monitor screen 17 and records the signal on the recording medium 24.</p> |
