<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape recorder capable of consecutively recording without disturbance to the picture even by the intermittent recording operation and also capable of obtaining the high reliability in the measurement and decision of the output of a reproduction head while the video recording operation is not interrupted even by the check of the video recording. SOLUTION: The VTR is provided with a memory 78 for storing a picture signal to be recorded on a tape 10 and a control circuit 77 for controlling the write-in and read-out of the picture signal with respect to the memory 78 along with setting various kinds of operational modes by controlling the rotation of a capstan and both reel bases, then the first control operation for recording the picture signal subjected to time compression read out from the memory 78 on the tape 10 while making the jape 10 run in the forward direction, the second control operation for rewinding the tape 10 back to the position at the top side of the tape than the end position of the above recording operation, and the third control operation for making the tape 10 run to the end position of the recording operation and consecutively shifting to the recording operation, are repeatedly carried out by the control circuit 77.</p> |
