PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helmet decreased in its own weight without reducing impact strength and improved in air permeability, as the helmet put on when driving a two-wheeled vehicle gives unpleasant feeling in putting on the helmet for a long time, is heavy in its weight for imparting impact resistance and causes fatigue by loading to the neck and shoulders and the helmet put on to improve safety is, on the contrary, a presence for threatening a safe driving. SOLUTION: A magnesium alloy is used as the material of the main body 2 of a helmet 1. Thus, the own weight of the helmet 1 can be reduced without reducing impact resistance and stuffiness in the helmet is prevented as vapor generated from the head passes through a pat material 3 and further through the main body 2 of the helmet 1 and is evaporated into the air.
