PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circular knitting machine having a supporting disk (2) and a needle cylinder (4) attached to the supporting disk (2) by screws, and capable of previously solving the problem that when a temperature difference is caused between the needle cylinder (4) and the supporting disk (2), the needle cylinder (4) is thermally and homogeneously expanded in the radius direction in every position of the circumferential direction, and, as a result, finally the needle cylinder (4) loses the roundness by the difference of the thermal expansion caused between the needle cylinder (4) and the supporting disk (2). SOLUTION: An intermediate ring (17, 17a) elastically deformable in the radius direction is arranged between the supporting disk (2) and the needle cylinder (4) to prevent the stress caused by the difference of the thermal expansion from being generated between these two components.
