PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly perform payment of the price to a seller and delivery of a transaction object to a purchaser in an online electronic commercial transaction. SOLUTION: An electronic commercial transaction support server issues a letter of credit guaranteeing payment of the price in response to a request over the Internet from the purchaser. The seller receives a report of issue of the letter of credit through the Internet. The seller presents written contents of the letter of credit to a convenience store and presents an article to receive the price from the convenience store. Thereafter a door-to-door delivery service trade requested by the convenience store delivers the article to the purchaser. A B/L number reported to the purchaser through the Internet is used as a code for delivery confirmation to deliver the article to the purchaser from the door-to-door delivery service trade.
