PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communications equipment capable of eliminating duplicates address in the same system in the case of setting addresses. SOLUTION: This communications equipment is provided with an address setting circuit 6 for setting a self-address and a transmission and reception circuit 7 for transmitting an address message to another communication equipment 4 in the same system, receiving a response message about the address message from the other communication equipment and retrieving and discriminating the duplicated self-address. The equipment is provided with an alarm output circuit 8 for informing the existence of the communication equipment 4 having the address duplicated with the self-address in the same system to the outside as the result of discrimination by the circuit 7, and an address display circuit 9 for displaying the address when it is judged that the duplicate address does not exist in the same system by retrieving the duplicated address in the same system.
