PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an optical waveguide for guiding optical signals to a light receiving element compact by suppressing distance and curvature to the minimum. SOLUTION: In an optical module in which the light receiving element 3 having waveguide structure and an optical waveguide circuit 2 having optical waveguides 21, 22 are integrated, an entering angle of the optical waveguide is inclined within a farsight angle of the waveguide structure±10 deg. to the waveguide structure so that incident light on the waveguide structure is multimode-propagated to the waveguide structure.
